What to include in a brief

The more of this we have, the faster it moves.

A private-label discussion covers more than the product itself. These are the points we work through before a quotation can be meaningful.

Which catalogue line, or which product you want us to source.

Target market

Where the product will be sold, which shapes labelling and documentation.

Required specification

The specification your market or customer expects.

Preferred origin

Where a product is listed from more than one origin, your preference.

Packaging type and pack size

Retail, foodservice, industrial or bulk, and the pack weights you need.

Brand artwork

Whether artwork is ready, in progress, or still to be developed.

Label language

The languages your destination market requires on pack.

Regulatory or certification requirements

Anything your market requires, so it can be checked with the supplier.

When you need the first shipment and any following ones.

Country, city or port, and your preferred delivery scope.

Process

How a private-label project runs.

  1. Select

The product, its application and the target market you are selling into.

  2. Specify

Format, quality profile and the documents your market requires.

  3. Pack

Retail, foodservice or industrial pack configuration.

  4. Brand

Artwork, label language and barcode requirements.

  5. Confirm

MOQ, samples, lead time and commercial terms, agreed in writing before order.

  6. Deliver

Freight and delivery scope agreed for the order, then coordinated with the supplier.

Project-specific arrangements

Sample terms, artwork responsibilities, certification, formulation feasibility, minimum orders, production lead times and market requirements are agreed for each project. The quotation records what applies to the selected product, supplier and destination.

Private-label FAQ

Common questions

Can every catalogue product be private-labelled?

No. Private-label availability depends on the selected product, origin, supplier capability and volume. Some lines are already listed in neutral or printed packs and in engraved wheels; others are not set up for it. We confirm the workable combination in the formal quotation.

Are samples free?

Sample availability, cost and shipping arrangements are confirmed case by case with the relevant supplier. We do not promise free samples in advance.

Do you design the packaging artwork?

Artwork responsibilities are agreed per project. We coordinate the technical requirements — dimensions, print format and mandatory information — with the supplier; we do not offer a design service as standard.

What is the minimum order for a private-label run?

There is no universal minimum. It depends on the product, the supplier, the packaging and the shipment configuration, and is confirmed once the brief is clear.

Will the product be approved for my market?

Regulatory approval is a market-by-market question. Tell us the destination and the requirements that apply, and we will check availability and applicability with the relevant supplier. We cannot guarantee approval in every country.
